About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, friendly and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support the catering team at Allison House Residential Home, helping provide nutritious meals and a welcoming dining experience for older residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing ingredients, meals, snacks and drinks.
- Help serve meals to residents in a friendly and respectful manner.
- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy and hygienic.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
- Support the catering team with general kitchen duties.
- Respect residents’ individual dietary requirements and food preferences.
About You
- A positive, caring and reliable approach to work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of kitchen cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment.
- Previous kitchen or catering experience would be beneficial.
