About the Role

Enfield Council is looking for an Administrative Support Officer to join the Equals Employment Team and support the delivery of the Connect to Work Programme.

The role will provide administrative and operational support across the supported employment pathway, helping participants move through referral, onboarding, employment support and in-work stages.

You will act as a central point of coordination for participants, Employment Advisors, Job Coaches, employers and partner organisations, ensuring information is accurate, activities are well organised and participants receive a responsive, person-centred service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support throughout all stages of the supported employment pathway.
  • Process referrals, eligibility checks and onboarding activities.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate participant activities.
  • Maintain accurate participant records and case management systems.
  • Monitor participant progress, outcomes and programme milestones.
  • Prepare documentation, reports and performance information.
  • Support Employment Advisors and Job Coaches with day‑to‑day administration.
  • Coordinate employer engagement activities, including meetings and vacancy records.
  • Act as a first point of contact for participants, employers and partner organisations.
  • Identify and escalates delays or issues affecting participant progression.
  • Ensure records and processes comply with GDPR, Council procedures and SEQF requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with internal Council services and external partners.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Experience working in an administrative or business support role.
  • Experience supporting a structured programme, service or process.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database/case management systems.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and monitoring data.
  • Ability to organise competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of customer‑focused and person‑centred service delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience within supported employment, employability, skills or vocational programmes.
  • Awareness of the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF).
  • Business Administration qualification or equivalent.

About the Team

The Equals Employment Team sits within the Council’s Integrated Learning Disabilities Service and supports residents with barriers to employment.

You will work alongside Occupational Therapists, Employment Advisors, Job Coaches and Programme Managers, as well as employers, training providers, DWP, community organisations and other Council services.
