The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 Β£ per year.
We are looking for an organised, reliable and compassionate Administration Officer to join our Adults Day Services team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to the service, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the provision and supporting staff, service users, families and external professionals. Previous administration experience within a care home, adult social care or healthcare environment would be highly desirable. However, candidates with strong general administration experience who have an understanding of, or genuine interest in, working within adult social care will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective day-to-day administrative support to the Adults Day Services team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, databases and service documentation.
- Assist with the coordination of service user information, appointments, activities and schedules.
- Support the preparation of reports, correspondence, meeting notes and other documentation.
- Maintain confidential records in line with data protection and organisational policies.
- Respond professionally to telephone calls, emails and enquiries from service users, families, staff and external professionals.
- Assist with staff administration, including rotas, attendance records, training records and other relevant documentation.
- Support managers with general administrative tasks and service coordination.
- Assist with monitoring compliance, audits and quality assurance processes.
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies where required.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ensure administrative procedures are followed consistently and efficiently.
- Contribute to a positive, person-centred environment for adults accessing the service.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email systems.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Professional, approachable and compassionate manner.

- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of adults receiving care and support.
Desirable Experience
- Administration experience within a care home, adult social care, healthcare or similar setting.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults or individuals with additional support needs.
- Knowledge of social care administration, safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
- Experience using care management or client-record systems.
- Previous experience supporting audits, compliance or quality assurance processes.
