Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across a range of areas within the building.

The successful candidate will be responsible for general cleaning duties, ensuring all areas are clean, sanitised and well maintained. The role may also involve holding keys to the building and locking up at the end of the shift, where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key holder for access to the building and lock the building after the shift, if required.
  • Clean and sanitise toilet areas, including:
    • Toilets and sinks
    • Hand dryers and pipes
    • Cubicle walls and doors
    • Floors
    • General surfaces
  • Clean kitchen areas, including:
    • Work surfaces
    • Sinks
    • Floors
    • Skirting boards
  • Clean office areas, including:
    • Hoovering or mopping floors
    • Sanitising desks and surfaces
    • General cleaning of the area
  • Clean corridors, including:
    • Hoovering or mopping floors
    • Skirting boards
    • Window cills
  • Clean communal areas, including:
    • All flooring
    • Skirting boards
    • Window cills
    • Hard furnishings
  • Use a scrubber dryer where provided to clean flooring.
  • Follow all relevant cleaning, hygiene and safety procedures.

Training

All relevant training will be provided, including training on cleaning equipment where required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Reliable and responsible
  • Able to work independently
  • Comfortable carrying out general cleaning and sanitisation dutiesAble to maintain good standards of cleanliness across different areas of a building
  • Trustworthy, particularly where key-holding and locking-up duties are required
