Main Purpose
To manage complex and high-profile planning enforcement cases, ensuring breaches of planning control are investigated and appropriate action is taken. Represent the LPA at appeals, hearings, inquiries and legal proceedings.
Typical Day
- Manage complex enforcement cases.
- Investigate planning breaches.
- Gather evidence and carry out site inspections.
- Prepare enforcement reports and notices.
- Work with legal and other Council teams.
- Negotiate with developers and landowners.
- Monitor compliance.
- Represent the LPA at appeals and legal proceedings.
