JOB PURPOSE:
- To carry out all aspects of a fully qualified Electrician in tenants and clients\’ premises, both internal and external, to a high level of proficiency, with additional skills across other trades.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- To operate across the Repairs service, carrying out a range of response repairs, planned works, and voids.
- To coordinate a range of work activities to ensure performance targets are attained.
- To carry out works within strict timescales and budgets, recommending and seeking approval from Supervisors as required to vary works.
- To read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- To have a good understanding of building regulations and compliance.
- To possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
- To competently use PDA equipment to record works carried out in real time.
- To ensure safety of oneself and others by working within the council\’s Health and Safety policies and procedures related to repair works.
- To have working knowledge of statutory legislation regarding health & safety and understand the importance of risk assessments and method statements.
- To supervise and mentor Apprentices as required, including providing written reports on their progress and quality of work.
- To use and maintain a company or personal vehicle as required, in line with the Council\’s driver policy.
