Principal designer/CDM Advisor Manchester Office (Mostly Remote Working)

Salary: up to £60,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Carriera is proud to be partnering with a leading multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy to appoint an experienced Principal Designer to join its established team In Manchester.

This is an opportunity for a design-focused health and safety professional who enjoys working alongside architects, engineers and project teams to influence design decisions, drive collaborative risk management and embed health and safety throughout the design process.

Working on a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects across commercial, education, healthcare, science & technology, residential and public sector developments, you'll take the lead in delivering Principal Designer services while ensuring risk is designed out wherever possible-not simply managed.

The Role Lead the delivery of Principal Designer services across a diverse project portfolio.

Work collaboratively with architects, engineers and clients to influence safer design outcomes from concept through to completion.

Facilitate design risk workshops and challenge design teams to eliminate and reduce foreseeable risks.

Advise clients on their duties under the CDM Regulations 2015 while promoting best practice in design risk management.

Produce and review Pre-Construction Information and Health & Safety Files.

Build long-term client relationships and contribute to the growth of the consultancy's design risk management offering.

About You Proven experience delivering Principal Designer services within a consultancy or client-side environment.

A passion for design risk management and collaborative working.

Strong understanding of the design process and multidisciplinary project delivery.

Excellent knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.

APS membership and/or CMIOSH preferred.

NEBOSH Construction Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification.
