This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and dependable Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step towards a Senior role within a dynamic and supportive small team. This client works across a broad range of sectors including residential (new builds and conversions), industrial, commercial refurbishments, education, local authority, and healthcare projects. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be leading cost planning and contract management on varied projects, providing expert advice and ensuring projects stay within budget from feasibility through to completion. Key Responsibilities Lead cost planning and prepare detailed cost estimates using Cost Ex at multiple RIBA stages. Advise on procurement strategies, risk management, and value engineering during pre-contract phases. Prepare and issue tender documentation, evaluate received tenders, and provide clients with informed recommendations. Manage post-contract responsibilities including valuations, progress payments, cost reporting, variation negotiations, and final accounts. Mentor graduates and junior QS staff, fostering their professional development. Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business growth. Monitor project budgets rigorously to maintain cost control and lifecycle costing. What we’re looking for RICS qualified with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience. Degree accredited by RICS in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification. Proven pre- and post-contract QS experience with demonstrable examples of previous projects. Exposure to multiple sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and local authority. Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
