As the business continues to develop its in-house Health & Safety function, they are looking to appoint a Group Health & Safety Assistant to support the Group Health & Safety Manager across their diverse property portfolio.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety professional looking to take the next step in their career and gain valuable exposure to property, compliance, contractor management, risk management and CDM within an established in-house environment.
The Role
Working closely with the Group Health & Safety Manager, you will support the delivery and ongoing development of Health & Safety standards across the company's commercial and residential portfolio.
This is a varied role which combines hands-on H&S support with compliance and administration, giving you the opportunity to work with Property Managers, contractors, consultants and tenants across a broad range of properties and projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the implementation and review of Health & Safety policies, procedures and best practice.
Carrying out and assisting with property inspections, risk assessments, audits and compliance checks.
Maintaining accurate H&S records, reports, actions and statutory compliance documentation.
Monitoring compliance through the company's risk management systems.
Working closely with Property Managers, contractors, consultants and tenants to ensure H&S standards are maintained.
Supporting contractor approval and monitoring processes, including insurance, accreditation and statutory documentation.
Supporting construction, maintenance and refurbishment projects in line with CDM 2015.
Taking ownership of allocated compliance improvement projects and helping to drive outstanding actions through to completion.
