The role can be based from any UK office with regular site-based fire risk assessment work across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of high-quality fire risk assessments across a wide range of premises.
- Plan and coordinate inspection programmes in collaboration with clients.
- Provide clear, practical fire safety advice and guidance on Building Regulations compliance.
- Support remedial works through to completion, ensuring quality and standards.
- Review and authorise Fire Risk Assessments before submission.
- Mentor other assessors and contribute to internal audits to maintain professional standards.
Essential Requirements
- Level 4 qualification in fire risk management or Level 5 in fire risk assessment or fire engineering.
- IFE-approved Fire Risk Assessment qualification.
- Registration on a recognised Fire Risk Assessor register via IFE, FRACS, or IFSM (Tier 3 minimum).
- Experience acting as a Validator under the BAFE SP205 1 scheme.
- Proven experience carrying out fire risk assessments across a variety of premises.
- Knowledge of fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order, and recognised best practice.
- Full UK driving licence.
