An established international engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Fire Engineer to join its growing London team. You'll lead the delivery of fire engineering projects, provide technical expertise and act as a key point of contact for clients and project teams. With a strong pipeline of exciting projects across the built environment, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fire engineer to lead technically challenging work, build client relationships and help shape the continued growth of the fire engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of fire engineering projects, taking responsibility for technical quality, programme delivery and client outcomes
- Produce detailed fire strategies, technical reports and supporting calculations
- Provide fire engineering advice throughout the design and construction phases of projects
- Prepare fee proposals, tender submissions and other technical documentation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and support business development activities
- Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to the continued growth of the fire engineering team
Requirements
- Degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
- Strong experience delivering fire engineering projects within a consultancy environment
- Good understanding of relevant fire safety legislation, regulations, codes and standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and project stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical fire engineering solutions
