Associate / Senior CDM & Principal Designer
London | Hybrid working
Up to Β£65,000 + car allowance + excellent benefits
Major London developments. Leading developers and investors. Complex projects where Principal Designer advice genuinely matters.
Carriera is working exclusively with one of the UK's most established and highly regarded property and construction consultancies to recruit a Senior Principal Designer or Associate into its London team.
This is a particularly strong opportunity for an experienced CDM professional who wants exposure to bigger projects, better clients and a genuine long-term career path.
The consultancy works with some of the UK's leading developers, investors, institutions and property owners, advising on major commercial developments, large-scale regeneration, mixed-use schemes, high-end residential, hotels, heritage buildings and complex refurbishments.
The scale is significant. Current and recent work includes billion-pound regeneration programmes, major central London commercial developments, large mixed-use masterplans and landmark heritage projects.
For someone currently operating at Senior level, there is a genuine opportunity to step up towards Associate. Equally, an established Associate will have the autonomy and client exposure to make a significant impact within the team.
The opportunity:
You'll join an established Principal Designer and CDM team, working directly with clients and some of the industry's leading architects, project managers, cost consultants and design teams.
Rather than simply providing a compliance service, you'll be involved from the early stages of projects, helping clients and designers identify, challenge and manage risk throughout the design and construction process.
Your role will include:
Acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015.
Leading design risk management on major and complex construction projects.
Working directly with developers, investors, property owners and consultant teams.
Advising clients from feasibility and early design through construction and completion.
Leading CDM meetings and design risk workshops.
Reviewing design information and challenging project teams where appropriate.
Preparing pre-construction information and key CDM documentation.
