Development Project Manager – Mixed-Use, Leisure & Retail Construction Projects Location: Midlands (M6/ 40 Corridor) Level: Associate / Project Director Professional Qualifications: MRICS / MCIOB / RIBA Summary: A leading property developer is seeking an experienced Development Project Manager to oversee the delivery of complex leisure and retail construction projects across the UK. The ideal candidate would be Associate or Project Director level, will take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, managing external consultants and contractor teams while ensuring exceptional outcomes. This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially focused, relationship-driven professional based in the Midlands (M6/40 corridor) , looking to make a significant impact within a growing, forward-thinking development business. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and feasibility through to delivery and handover. Oversee and coordinate multi-disciplinary consultancts and contractor teams, ensuring alignment with project goals. Manage project budgets, programmes, and risk to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Drive value engineering and innovation to maximise commercial success. About you: Proven experience in delivering large-scale commercial, mixed-use, leisure or retail projects for developers, with a track record of managing external consultants and contractor teams. A professional qualification such as MRICS, MCIOB, or RIBA. Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of development economics and construction processes. Effective programme and project management capabilities, with a focus on delivering results.
