Job Description Quantity Surveyor \n Location: Plymouth \n Sector: Property & Construction Consultancy \n Salary: Competitive, depending on experience \n Carriera is working with an established construction consultancy looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to its Plymouth team. \n This is a good opportunity for someone who has already built a solid grounding in Quantity Surveying and is progressing through their APC. You'll work across a varied portfolio of private and public-sector projects, with particular exposure to feasibility work, cost planning and wider pre-contract services alongside ongoing project delivery. \n Responsibilities \n \n Prepare feasibility estimates and early-stage cost advice \n Produce cost plans as projects progress through design \n Undertake benchmarking and option appraisals \n Support procurement and tender processes \n Prepare tender documentation and analyse returns \n Assist with valuations, variations and cost reporting \n Support contract administration and final account work \n Attend client, design team and site meetings \n Work across a varied portfolio of residential, hospitality, commercial and public-sector projects \n Take increasing ownership of projects as experience develops \n \n Requirements \n \n Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline \n Experience working within Quantity Surveying or Cost Management \n Currently progressing through the APC towards MRICS \n Good grounding in feasibility and cost planning \n Exposure to both pre and post-contract work \n Confident communicator with strong numerical and written skills \n Comfortable working directly with clients and project teams \n Ambitious and keen to take on increasing responsibility \n \n About You \n You'll be commercially minded, proactive and keen to develop into a well-rounded Quantity Surveyor.
