An established and growing independent construction consultancy in London is looking to appoint a Project Manager to support the delivery of a varied portfolio of projects as the team continues to grow. This role would suit a Project Manager who enjoys being client-facing, taking ownership of their work, and playing an active role in a consultancy where individuals are trusted and supported to progress.

The Role

You will be involved in the delivery of projects from early stages through to completion, acting as a key point of contact for clients and coordinating with wider consultant and contractor teams. The position offers a good level of autonomy, alongside the support of experienced colleagues. As part of a growing team, you'll also be encouraged to support junior members of staff and contribute to the wider development of the consultancy, while continuing to develop your own professional and technical skills.

About You

  • You're likely to be someone who is comfortable working directly with clients and building long-term relationships.
  • Takes ownership of projects and works well using their own initiative.
  • Enjoys supporting and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Is looking for a long-term role within a growing consultancy rather than a short-term move.

Project & Sector Exposure

Projects typically sit within the heritage, arts, leisure and hotel sectors. Experience in these areas is beneficial but not essential - an interest in design-led and stakeholder-sensitive projects is just as important. Large-scale or 'mega' project experience is not required.

Background & Experience

  • Client-side experience would be ideal, though candidates from consultancy backgrounds are equally encouraged.
  • Contract administration experience would be advantageous.
  • Open to candidates with a blended skill set across both environments.

Qualifications

  • Working towards, or already Chartered with RICS, CIOB or APMA.
  • A clear commitment to ongoing professional development.

This is a strong opportunity for a Project Manager looking to take on more responsibility, work closely with clients, and progress within a consultancy that is continuing to grow in a considered way.
