Carriera is excited to partner with one of the UK's leading property and construction consultancies who are looking to develop their H&S/ CDM team out of their Newcastle office. Due to growth plans and a number of key project wins in recent months, our client is recruiting for an experienced CDM/ H&S Consultant to join the team heading up a variety of construction related schemes throughout the North East. Our client oversees a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, retail, infrastructure, hotel, sport, transportation, energy, aviation, leisure, industrial, education and healthcare projects on a national level. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious CDM/ H&S Consultant to join a forward thinking multi-disciplinary consultancy who are going through an exciting period of growth.
The role would suit a competent H&S professional who has previously worked within a consultancy setting, and who is now looking to take the next step in their career and take a hands on role in developing our clients CDM/ H&S division.
Responsibilities:
- Offer a variety of health & safety services to a diverse client base.
- Manage the H&S file, design risk register, review construction phase plans, maintain pre construction information.
- Attend design team and client meetings.
- Provide a CDM advisory service to clients.
- Carryout site safety inspections and site safety audits.
- Develop new and existing client relationships.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
- Professional membership to IOSH, APS (desirable).
- Have worked in the property & construction sector for the last 2 years.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
In return our client is offering:
- Competitive salary up to £45,000.
- Car or travel allowance (circa £4,500).
