Associate / Senior CDM & Principal Designer Leeds | Hybrid Working Salary £65,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits Carriera is working exclusively with an established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy to appoint a Senior Principal Designer looking for their next steps to Associate, or an already proven Associate director looking to make a big difference and be an instrumental part of their growing Leeds team.

With a long-standing reputation for providing pragmatic, commercially aware advice, the consultancy works closely with clients across a diverse range of construction and property projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CDM professional looking for a role offering autonomy, client exposure and long-term progression.

The Role You'll provide a combination of Principal Designer, CDM Advisory and construction health & safety services, working directly with clients and project teams across a varied portfolio.

You'll be responsible for: Delivering Principal Designer and CDM advisory services in accordance with CDM 2015.

Leading design risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Providing practical health & safety advice to clients, designers and contractors.

Undertaking site inspections, audits and contractor engagement.

Managing your own projects and client relationships from inception through to completion.

Producing high-quality technical reports and project documentation.

Managing multiple projects and prioritising workloads effectively.

Supporting clients with Building Regulations Principal Designer requirements where appropriate.

About You We're looking for an experienced construction health & safety professional with: A degree or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering, architecture or health & safety.

Minimum 5 years' experience delivering Principal Designer, CDM Advisory and/or construction H&S services.

APS membership or working towards Certified Membership.

CMIOSH or Grad IOSH status, or a strong commitment towards professional development.

Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, design risk management and construction health & safety legislation.

Practical construction experience, including site inspections, audits and contractor engagement.

Excellent client-facing, communication and report-writing skills.

The ability to manage projects independently and develop long-term client relationships.

Knowledge of Building Regulations Principal Designer duties would be advantageous.
