Carriera is working with a highly regarded multidisciplinary cost consultancy that has a strong offering of nationwide projects throughout the UK.
About the position:
The Cost Management team in Birmingham is well established and is experiencing rapid growth. They are currently seeking an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their residential and commercial team and help the team deliver and manage multiple projects from inception to completion.
As an ideal candidate, you will be able to leverage your experience in the residential and commercial space (or be willing to work across various sectors if no previous experience) to provide specialist consultancy and commercial advice and delivering refurbishment and new build projects as required. You will be involved in pre-contract estimating, tendering of projects, producing contract documents and liaising with the client and design team. You will also manage the commercial aspects and programme of projects, attend site meetings and handle a range of post-contract duties. You will also be responsible for successfully agreeing final accounts and ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner.
About you:
- Ideally have completed your APC or be on the path to completion.
- Be willing to work across various sectors.
- Have a problem-solving mindset and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Possess a clean, valid UK driving license and be willing to travel nationwide.
