An exceptional opportunity has been given to us for an Architectural Technician to join a highly regarded private family office in London's West End, working across a portfolio of high-end residential properties and developments.
Working closely with the Design Lead and an established professional team, you will play an important role in the technical development and delivery of residential refurbishment, renovation and extension projects.
The role: This is a hands-on technical position offering exposure to exceptionally high-quality residential projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing detailed construction and technical drawing packages
- Developing drawings for townhouse refurbishments, renovations and extensions
- Preparing detailed internal layouts and setting-out information
- Producing bathroom layouts and associated technical details
- Developing bespoke joinery drawings and details
- FF&E layouts and coordination
- Working closely with the Design Lead to develop design concepts into coordinated technical information
- Liaising with the wider professional and project team throughout the design and construction process
- Supporting projects through the various stages of design and delivery
About you: We are looking for an Architectural Technician with 3+ years' relevant experience, ideally gained working on high-quality residential, refurbishment or interiors-led projects. You should have:
- Strong technical drawing and detailing ability
- Experience producing construction information
- A good understanding of residential refurbishment and interior detailing
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with Vectorworks would be particularly advantageous, although strong AutoCAD experience is equally welcome
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit professional team
- An appreciation for high-quality architecture, interiors, materials and finishes
- Experience of construction detailing, high end finishes, fixtures, bathrooms, bespoke joinery and FF&E would be particularly relevant.
The opportunity: What makes this position particularly attractive is the environment in which you'll be working. This is an end-client position, providing the opportunity to become closely involved with projects and see them develop from design through to completion rather than continually moving between external clients.
The business has built a longstanding and highly experienced professional team, with a positive, supportive and collaborative approach to delivering projects. We have worked with the organisation for a number of years and have first-hand experience of the quality and stability of the team and working environment.
The position is office-based, five days per week in London's West End, reflecting the collaborative nature of the role and team. However, the business takes a pragmatic and supportive approach to flexibility; where working from home is required around personal commitments or appointments, this is fully supported.
Alongside a competitive salary, the position offers an excellent benefits package and discretionary bonus. This would suit an Architectural Technician looking to move into a high-quality client-side environment, gain exposure to exceptional residential projects and become part of an established team offering genuine long-term career stability.
