Our client is a fast-growing, ambitious science and technology organisation, developing a world-class campus in Oxford to support breakthrough research and innovation. The organisation is investing heavily in a state-of-the-art facility that will enable a transformative impact at a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will oversee fire safety compliance across all buildings, including new facilities as they open and therefore, will have the opportunity to build and lead a team to support this expansion.
  • Own fire safety compliance across all sites, including Fire Risk Assessments and remedial action management.
  • Ensure inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire protection systems in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Act as the fire safety subject-matter expert, advising on incidents, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver fire safety training, fire drills, and promote a proactive fire safety culture.
  • Develop and maintain fire safety documentation, records, policies, and emergency procedures.
  • Provide fire safety input for new projects, refurbishments, and building modifications, and report compliance status to senior management.

Qualifications

  • IFE Level 3 (or higher) qualification in fire safety or fire engineering.
  • NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent.
  • Strong track record in a fire safety role, preferably across multiple sites.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and best practices.
  • Strong experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to train and influence staff at all levels.
  • Experience providing fire safety advice for construction projects, refurbishments, or building modifications.
