Construction Development Manager – Major Paris Development (€100m+)
Location: London (with regular travel to Paris)
Salary: Highly competitive + benefits

Carriera is partnered with a respected real estate and construction consultancy, who are embarking on an exciting €100m+ development project in Paris, currently progressing through feasibility, land due diligence, and planning stages.
This is a unique opportunity for a Construction Development Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering a data centre in Paris, working from London while maintaining a close connection to the client team.
The role:
Reporting to the lead partner and client team, you will lead the technical and delivery input during the early development lifecycle, ensuring robust planning, commercial viability, and design coordination. Acting as a bridge between the UK-based leadership and the French team, you’ll play a critical part in establishing the foundations for successful delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing feasibility assessments, site and land due diligence processes.
- Coordinating design development, technical feasibility, and build-ability input.
- Supporting planning submissions and engaging with local authorities in France.
- Overseeing consultant selection and performance across both UK and French markets.
- Advising on procurement and delivery strategies for later project phases.
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations, codes, and sustainability standards.
About you:
- Experienced in early-stage development management for large-scale or complex construction projects (£50m+).
- Strong understanding of planning processes, feasibility analysis, and design coordination.
- Fluent in French, with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (construction, project management, engineering, or real estate).
- Comfortable operating in an international, bilingual project environment, with regular travel between London and Paris.
