A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Façade Consultant to join its established Façade & Fire Consultancy team in Manchester. The business operates nationally across surveying, engineering, project management, cost consultancy and fire safety, and is recognised for its work on higher-risk residential and mixed-use buildings. This is a senior technical position with a strong focus on Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEWs) in accordance with PAS 9980.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full FRAEW process from investigation through to report delivery
- Undertake intrusive façade investigations and system analysis
- Advise on façade fire performance, compliance and remediation strategies
- Apply knowledge of BS 8414, BR 135 and current legislation
- Oversee façade and cladding remediation works
- Provide technical leadership within multidisciplinary project teams
Requirements
- Strong experience in façade consultancy and fire safety compliance
- Deep technical knowledge of external wall systems and fire behaviour
- High-quality report writing skills
- Confidence leading instructions and engaging with clients
- A strong track record delivering FRAEWs to PAS 9980 standard is essential
- A degree in Building Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline, and/or membership of a relevant professional body.
