Carriera is representing a highly reputable company working out of the Northwest of England in search for a driven and ambitious CDM Consultant who would be excited by progressing quickly in a growing business to a principal designer. Our client has extensive knowledge and expertise in the health and safety arena providing a tailored and customer focused approach to their daily duties across a broad range of disciplines. The ideal person will come in with a minimum of a couple of years’ experience as a CDM consultant and a good knowledge of CDM regulations and want to work towards becoming a fully-fledged Principal designer. On succession, you will be given an in-depth handover and all the training and support needed to excel, making this a very rare and exciting opportunity for any ambitious CDM consultant.
This role will also be a hybrid role, meaning half of the time you will be working from home and the other half working on site with local clients in the Northwest. This would suit a CDM professional who is confident with clients and enjoys working autonomously.
Qualifications / Experience- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a similar role with a NEBOSH / NCRQ Certificate
- Minimum TechIOSH membership, or have the qualifications and experience to attain this.
- Excellent communication skills with a pragmatic approach to risk management
- Be able to self-manage day-to-day tasks and have awareness of overall project timescale.
- Provide the CDMC duties on projects from new build to refurbishment, M&E projects.
- Collect relevant information from site and complete PCI documents.
- Complete CPP and review contractor CPP / RAMS initiative to develop practical solutions for clients.
- Engaging with client, principal contractors, and project designers.
- Advising the client of their duties in accordance with CDM2015 regulations.
- Attend construction sites to complete Health & Safety inspections and audits, reporting to the client.
