About the Role
We’re working with a growing science and technology company building an exciting research campus in Oxford. They’re looking for a hands-on Repair & Maintenance Technician to help keep their buildings, labs, and equipment running smoothly day to day. This is a great opportunity for someone with practical skills who enjoys problem-solving and wants to develop their career in a modern, high-tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and fabric works
- Diagnose and resolve faults across building systems and equipment
- Support maintenance in regulated environments (labs/clinical areas)
- Collaborate with contractors and internal teams across multiple sites
- Ensure all work meets health & safety and compliance standards
Essential Requirements
- Experience in a maintenance, handyperson, or multi-trade role
- Basic skills across building maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting)
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
- Trade certification (electrical, plumbing, or similar)
- Experience working in laboratory, healthcare, or other regulated environments
