Graduate / Assistant Building Surveyor – Manchester | Up to £37,000 | Public & Private Sector Projects

We’re working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to hire a graduate or assistant building surveyor to join their Building Design Practice in Manchester, supporting projects across the North region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of post-degree experience who is currently working towards their MRICS and looking to take the next step in a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a broad range of building surveying services across various sectors
  • Support on project management, contract administration, designs, technical reports, and condition/defect surveys
  • Contribute to projects typically up to £250k capex
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices, including CDM 2015 and the Building Safety Act 2023

What We\’re Looking For:

  • A RICS-accredited BSc in Building Surveying
  • Actively working towards MRICS or MCIOB
  • Strong technical, design, and client-facing skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is an advantage)
  • Familiarity with JCT/NEC contracts and relevant H&S legislation
  • Sector experience in education, healthcare, or local authority projects is desirable
