As part of our UK team, you will have the opportunity to work with customers, internal stakeholders, and industry partners to develop commercial opportunities and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
We are looking for an experienced Sales Account Management Specialist to support the development and growth of customer accounts across the business. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, develop strong relationships with prospective and existing customers, and support the Sales and Business Development teams in converting opportunities into successful projects. The successful candidate will have strong commercial awareness, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into appropriate Carrier products, services, and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned customer segments and markets.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with prospective and existing customers to understand their needs and identify opportunities.
- Support the Sales and Business Development teams in developing and converting account opportunities.
- Proactively identify potential projects and commercial opportunities with assigned customers.
- Develop new customer contacts and leads to support the wider sales and business development strategy.
- Identify relevant tender and bid opportunities and contribute to the preparation of bid responses.
- Support commercial negotiations with prospective customers and key stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal sales, technical, engineering, and operational teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Present potential projects and opportunities to the Sales and Business Development teams, providing relevant customer and market insights.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of customer contacts to influence and support future business opportunities.
- Attend customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows to promote Carrier's products, services, and capabilities.
- Organise and deliver customer workshops and presentations to increase awareness of Carrier solutions.
- Support the development of account strategies and contribute to achieving business growth and revenue objectives.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information and provide regular updates on account and business development activity.
- Represent Carrier professionally and ensure all customer interactions reflect the company's values and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in account management, sales, business development, or a related commercial role.
- Alternatively, an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
- Proven experience developing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Experience working within a technical, engineering, HVAC, building services, or industrial environment is desirable.
- Strong understanding of sales, account management, and business development processes.
- Experience supporting tenders, bids, commercial proposals, or customer negotiations is desirable.
- Practical knowledge of Carrier's organisation, programmes, systems, or related industry processes would be advantageous.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between £42,000.00-£84,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
