We are now looking for an additional Chiller Engineer to join our growing Rental team, supporting the preparation, installation, commissioning and ongoing operation of temporary cooling and heating solutions for our customers. The main goal will be to deliver safe, reliable and customer-focused rental solutions, including temporary chiller plant, ancillary equipment and associated systems, ensuring equipment is installed, commissioned, maintained and recovered to the highest standard.
What will I be doing as a Chiller Engineer:
- Prepare, install, commission, maintain and decommission temporary rental equipment, including chillers, pumps, hoses, heat exchangers and associated ancillaries.
- Support the delivery of rental projects from initial site attendance through to equipment handover, ensuring the installation is safe, practical and fit for customer requirements.
- Carry out site surveys, identify suitable equipment requirements and work with the rental operations team to ensure the correct solution is delivered.
- Troubleshoot and support operational issues on rental equipment, both on site and remotely, to minimise customer downtime.
- Commission temporary systems and advise on wider site connections, flow, power, controls and operational considerations beyond the equipment supply.
- Attend customer sites and meetings with minimal supervision, providing clear updates on rental works, safety requirements, progress and next steps.
- Read and interpret technical documents such as wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, flow schematics and site-specific method statements.
What we are looking for:
- Experience within a similar rental, HVAC, chiller or temporary plant environment, ideally involving large industrial water chillers.
- Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Full UK Driving licence (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds or equivalent in Safe Handling or Refrigerants.
- F Gas qualified (cat 1).
- Technical competence is required with relevant experience of Carrier and/or other manufacturers’ chiller, HVAC or temporary rental equipment.
- Experience working safely on customer sites, including temporary installations, plant rooms, external compounds and live operational environments.

Pay Range: The annual base salary for this position is between £44,128 - 49,706. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation: This position is entitled to call out payments and overtime.
