Automated Logic Corporation are now looking for a Lead Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through the designing of advanced building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills.

What will you be doing?

  • You will work on solving complex problems and lead smaller projects with less experienced engineers to help develop their skills.
  • Design and program increasingly advanced building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms.
  • Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation.
  • Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information.
  • Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.
  • Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.
  • Test programming and interfaces prior to implementation.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.
  • Proficient with primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of complex Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services.
  • Proficient with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.
  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
  • UK driving license.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK.
