About the role
We are looking for an experienced Lead BMS Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on technical role focused on commissioning, fault finding, programming and supporting the successful delivery of Building Management System (BMS) projects. Acting as a senior technical specialist, you will provide expert support to project teams, troubleshoot complex system issues, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects across the UK and other locations.
What you'll be doing
- Commissioning and optimising Building Management Systems (BMS) across a variety of customer sites.
- Programming and modifying BMS software, control strategies and graphical user interfaces.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex BMS software, hardware and communication issues.
- Supporting functional testing, system validation and commissioning activities.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting less experienced engineers by sharing technical knowledge and best practice.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Commissioning Engineers, Service Engineers and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation where required.
- Identifying technical risks and recommending effective solutions.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with project requirements, company standards and customer expectations.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in Building Management Systems (BMS), Building Automation or HVAC Controls.
- Strong experience commissioning, troubleshooting and supporting BMS installations.
- Experience programming BMS control strategies and graphical user interfaces.
- Experience with Automated Logic (ALC) is preferred; however, experience with other BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell or Johnson Controls will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of BMS hardware, controllers and field devices.
- Good knowledge of communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON and N2.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, control schematics and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and internationally, primarily within Europe, as business needs require.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between £60,509.00-£120,655.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
