Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the depot and its team, ensuring highest standards of EHS and presentation.
  • Optimise availability and utilisation of rental assets, drive operational excellence, foster a positive high‑performing team culture.
  • Maintain regular thorough communication, demonstrate hands‑on visible leadership, and motivate the team to achieve safety and operational objectives.
  • Manage day‑to‑day running of depot office and administration teams (hire desk, contracts administration, logistics, general administration).
  • Be involved in running of the workshop and engineer management.
  • Ensure all systems and records are well maintained with high levels of data entry accuracy.
  • Oversee office and administration teams, support accordingly, and conduct monthly mentor sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Be fully conversant and compliant with all environmental health and safety procedures.
  • Hold regular team meetings and attend weekly depot meetings.
  • Promote the highest standards of customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the wider depot network, service department, and sales teams.
  • Act quickly when problems arise and establish an open system of communication to ensure consistent treatment of issues.
  • Oversee the overall invoice dispute logs and query resolution.
  • Fully comply with all quality, environmental health and safety directives (PPE, accident reporting, safety commitments, RAMS, ACE).

Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience in a similar role, ideally within the service or rental industry.
  • Proven experience managing teams of 30+ people, with strong leadership and engagement skills.
  • Strong commitment to HSE and operational excellence.
  • Organised, proactive, and focused approach to process improvement and modernisation.
  • Self‑motivation and the ability to inspire and lead teams effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage and influence.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.

Benefits and Compensation

Competitive base salary ranging from £34,500.00 to £69,500.00 annually. Salary factors include skills, education, experience and unique qualifications.
