We are now looking for additional HVAC/Chiller Service Technicians to join our elite Service Technician team - The true heroes of our business! The main goal will be to troubleshoot, support the majority of breakdowns and commission all standard products, mainly industrial water chillers, in order to help provide a high‑class service to our customers.
What will I be doing as a Service Technician?
- Run large sites single‑handedly or supervise other technicians to the full satisfaction of the customer.
- Demonstrate and provide expert support in technical disciplines such as general theory, centrifugal compressor rebuilds, absorption chillers, and chiller sequencing.
- Fulfil the standard commercial and technical aspects of the contract without supervision.
- Troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, both in person and via computer or phone link‑ups.
- Commission standard and large‑capacity products, advise on wider system installations, and identify system issues beyond the scope of supply.
- Attend and participate in customer meetings with little or no supervision.
- Understand and review complex technical documents such as wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings and pressure‑enthalpy diagrams, and have experience within a similar HVAC role, especially large industrial water chillers.
Qualifications
- Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Full UK driving licence (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds or equivalent in Safe Handling or Refrigerants.
- F Gas qualified (Cat 1).
- Technical competence and relevant experience with both Carrier and other manufacturer's equipment.
- Experience within a Technician role in the HVAC industry, especially large industrial water chillers.
