As an Apprentice Service Technician, the main goal of this role is to learn and understand the refrigeration/air conditioning industry with the aim of qualifying as a HVAC Service Technician.
- Regular release to the College of NW London to study a Level 3 Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps qualification
- Working on a range of HVAC equipment from smaller water and air side products to large commercial and industrial chilled water and heat pump systems
- Attend and participate in customer site visits, shadowing one of our qualified Technicians
- Learning about refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Working on fans and air handling equipment
- Helping to troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, both in person and remote
- Working on sequencing and control panels
- Working on pumps and water hydraulics and hydronics
- Learning about digital control systems and basic BMS (Building Management Systems)
What we’re looking for:
- Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Maths, Science and ICT OR Engineering
- Full UK driving licence
- Someone who is keen to learn, ask questions and wants to be involved – bright and inquisitive with a hunger for learning
- Good written English
- An interest in M&E, Engineering and the HVAC industry
- Good problem solver
- Computer literate and know the basics on Microsoft Office
- Confident and articulate
