About the role
To our depot based in Paisley we are looking for a person with previous mechanical experience to service and repair our equipment in the depot or on customer’s site.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in the role you should have:
- Previous mechanical experience or completed apprenticeship in mechanical field.
- NVQ3 or suitable Apprenticeship.
- Knowledge of diesel engines.
- Good working knowledge of EHSQ.
- Time Management.
- UK driving license.
As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for:
Equipment Maintenance and Repairs
- Assisting in servicing plant equipment, especially pumps, within the depot.
- Carrying out major repairs on equipment deemed too intensive for standard depot procedures.
- Refurbishing end-of-life equipment to bring it back to an as-new condition.
Logistics and daily activities in the depot
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of pumps and generators onto delivery lorries using Hi-Ab Lorry Mounted Crane and Forklift Truck.
- Ensuring all equipment is serviced and maintained to a high standard.
- Reporting any major problems within the equipment to the Foreman/Depot Supervisor.
Health & Safety / Compliance & Ethics
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures within the workshop environment.
- Being fully conversant and compliant with all environmental health and safety procedures.
- Being fully compliant with all quality, environmental health, and safety directives, including PPE, accident reporting, cardinal rules, risk assessment method statement (RAMS), and Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE).
