We are looking for an HVAC/Chiller Service Technician to join our service team.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, supporting breakdowns, and commissioning standard products, mainly industrial water chillers, to provide a high-class service to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Run large sites single-handedly or by supervising other technicians, to the full satisfaction of the customer.
  • Demonstrate and provide expert support in one of the following disciplines: general theory and technical support, centrifugal compressor rebuilds, absorption chillers, controls chiller sequencing.
  • Fulfil the standard commercial and technical aspects of the contract without supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, in person and via computer or phone linkups.
  • Commission standard and large capacity products, and advise on wider system installation and identify system issues beyond the scope of supply.
  • Attend and participate in customer meetings with little or no supervision.
  • Review complex technical documents, such as wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, and pressure-enthalpy diagrams, to a fully competent level.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar HVAC role, especially with large industrial water chillers.
  • Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
  • Full UK Driving licence (or equivalent).
  • City & Guilds or equivalent in Safe Handling or Refrigerants.
  • F Gas qualified (Cat 1).
  • Technical competence with relevant experience of Carrier and other manufacturers’ equipment.
  • Experience within a Technician role in the HVAC industry.

The annual salary for this position is between £36,800 and £46,800 per year.
