We are seeking an experienced Specification Sales Engineer. You will be instrumental in developing new business and increasing sales of Carrier’s industry-leading HVAC portfolio, including Chillers, Heat Pumps & AHU’s. You will collaborate closely with M&E consultants, contractors, distributors, and end users to establish Carrier as the preferred specification partner.
- Develop specification sales in the South East England for the Carrier range of HVAC equipment including Chillers and Heat Pumps.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities, driving both equipment and service sales.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with M&E consultants, main contractors, distributors, and end users.
- Work collaboratively with key account managers, vertical specialists, and the direct sales team to maximise market share.
- Provide expert technical guidance throughout the sales cycle, ensuring solutions meet customer and project requirements.
- Maintain consistent customer engagement, including site visits and technical meetings.
- Manage reporting, forecasting, and project tracking through Salesforce CRM.
- Monitor competitor activity and strategically position Carrier solutions within the market.
Requirements
- Technical knowledge of HVAC industry, particularly hydronic chilled water, air, and heating applications.
- Proven sales experience within the HVAC sector, working with installing contractors, M&E consultants & end user clients.
- Experience of managing your own time and customers, setting targets and monitoring progress.
- Presentation skills and ability to conduct meetings.
- Ability to manage your own territory, pipeline, and customer relationships effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
- UK Driving Licence.
- IT Literate with MS Office skills.
