Context:
Carreg Law was established in 2014 in Llandeilo, with its second office in Llandovery being opened in 2024. The firm’s services cover property, wills, power of attorney, probate, family and dispute resolution.
Of the firm’s team of nine, four work in conveyancing with support from three administrative staff. We are seeking a new recruit to focus on providing conveyancing services at our Llandovery office. The office offers an appealing opportunity to someone wishing to become known as Carreg Law’s property professional in the local area.

Key responsibilities:
N.B. The following responsibilities would be modified to your title where appropriate.
- Manage a caseload of property transactions from initial quotation to post-completion.
- Advise clients on residential and/or commercial property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, remortgages, and lease extensions.
- Conduct title checks, searches, and due diligence and reporting to client
- Draft and review contracts, transfers, leases, deeds and other legal documents.
- Liaise with estate agents, lenders, solicitors, and HM Land Registry.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and anti-money laundering requirements.
- Maintain accurate records using case management systems.
- Provide exceptional client care and respond promptly to queries.
- Stay updated on relevant property law, legislation, and industry hot topics.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer / Chartered Legal Executive / CILEX Lawyer / Paralegal in England and Wales.
- 2+ years post-qualification experience preferred.
- Proven experience in handling residential and/or commercial conveyancing transactions.
- Strong knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competent in using legal case management systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and Apple macOS.
