Carr Lyons Search & Selection is a specialist financial services recruitment consultancy with over 30 years of experience partnering with leading banks, private credit funds, asset managers and financial institutions across the UK and Europe.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious Recruitment Consultant to join our team.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to build a desk within one of our core markets:
  • Credit and Risk
  • Buy-Side (Private Credit, Asset Management & Investment Funds)

Whether you have previous recruitment experience or come from a financial services background, we’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, relationship-focused and motivated by success.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with both clients and candidates, managing recruitment processes from initial brief through to successful placement.

Responsibilities include

  • Building and managing your own client portfolio.
  • Identifying and engaging high-calibre professionals across your chosen market.
  • Winning new business while developing existing client relationships.
  • Managing retained and contingent search assignments.
  • Advising clients on market trends, salary benchmarking and hiring strategy.
  • Negotiating offers and managing the recruitment process through to completion.
  • Becoming a recognised market specialist within your sector.

About You

  • Previous recruitment experience.
  • Financial services knowledge is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially driven with a proactive approach.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects.
