A leading international financial institution is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join its specialist Aviation Leasing Credit Risk team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical foundations who wants to deepen their expertise in aviation finance, asset‐backed lending, and portfolio risk management.
The Role
As an AVP in the Aviation Leasing Credit team, you will:
- Support the preparation and review of annual credit assessments and new‐business proposals, developing clear, well‐reasoned recommendations for senior credit approvers.
- Operate as part of the second line of defence, providing independent credit‐risk oversight across new transactions and ongoing portfolio management.
- Assist in monitoring exposures, risk trends, and performance across a globally diversified portfolio of commercial aircraft, engines, and helicopter assets.
- Partner closely with Front Office deal teams to balance commercial delivery with disciplined credit standards.
- Contribute to portfolio‐management responsibilities, including watch‐list activity, impairment analysis, provisioning, and credit‐review reporting.
- Work within a structured team of asset‐finance and credit‐risk specialists, gaining exposure to senior leadership and a clear sense of progression.

About You
You'll thrive if you bring:
- 2+ years' experience in credit, risk, finance, or analytical roles — ideally within a bank, financial institution, or leasing environment.
- A degree or relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, ACT, CFA) — or a strong interest in aviation or financial markets.
- A developing understanding of financial products such as corporate lending, leasing, derivatives, capital markets, or asset finance.
- Strong digital literacy and comfort working with modern tools and data.
- A proactive, organised, "can‐do" mindset with clear, confident communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
