This is a Vice President role within the New Energies & Natural Resources team, part of the EMEA Structured Finance function. The role focuses on supporting and leading the execution, origination, and marketing of structured and project finance transactions across the energy sector, including both conventional and low-carbon energy and related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior team members in the origination, marketing, and execution of transactions, and lead selected deals or workstreams.
- Review and analyse financial statements, project finance models, due diligence materials, and legal documentation.
- Prepare credit applications and manage internal approval processes and systems.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including credit, syndications, legal, operations, portfolio management, and capital markets teams.
- Participate in client meetings, information gathering (KYC, due diligence), marketing activities, and transaction execution.
- Contribute to financial modelling and analytical work for project and acquisition finance transactions.
- Support asset management, distribution activities, and wider departmental initiatives as required.
- Assist with training and supporting junior team members and contribute to broader team management initiatives.
- Support delivery of the team’s annual business targets, typically working on 6–12 transactions per year.
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong knowledge of project finance theory, documentation, and execution.
- Experience in energy, natural resources, or infrastructure financing.
- Acquisition finance experience is desirable.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Strong understanding of internal governance, risk, and compliance procedures.
