We are recruiting for Support Practitioners to join our team in East Lothian. Due to service needs, we have specific vacancies suitable for male candidates only. If you're good at seeing people as unique individuals with their own skills, opinions, and dreams, then we currently have full-time and part-time (from 22.5 hrs) opportunities for you to join our team in Tranent.
As a Support Practitioner, you will support people with all aspects of daily living at home and in their communities. You will assist people with planning for their future and to prevent the effects of social isolation and loneliness in their lives. We adopt a person-centred approach to working with individuals who require support for a variety of reasons including Mental Health and Autism. Honesty, respect, empathy, and compassion are key skills that are required in people who join our teams.
Waking Night Shifts: This role is specifically for waking night shifts only. The successful candidate will be required to remain awake and alert throughout the night to provide high-quality support, ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals, and respond appropriately to any needs that arise. Due to the nature of the service, applicants should live within the local area or within a short commute.
