We are recruiting for Support Practitioners to join our brand-new team in East Lothian. If you’re good at seeing people as unique individuals with their own skills, opinions, and dreams then we currently have full-time and part-time (from 22.5 hrs) opportunities for you to join our new, exciting team in East Lothian. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for social care to aid in building our new supported living style service.
Responsibilities
- As a Support Practitioner you will support people with all aspects of daily living at home and in their communities.
- You will assist people with planning for their future and to prevent the effects of social isolation and loneliness in their lives.
- We adopt a person-centred approach to working with individuals who require support for a variety of reasons including Mental Health, Autism, Physical & Learning Disabilities.
- We require candidates who are flexible to work a variety of shift patterns which can include Days, Evenings/Weekends & Sleepovers.
- Applicants should live within the local area or within a short commute.
Qualifications
- Experience in social care is welcome but not required; full training (including SVQ qualifications) is provided.
- Honesty, respect, empathy and compassion are key skills.

- Anti-social hours enhancement of up to £1,272 per annum, when undertaking waking night shifts (11pm-7am).
