Our service provides specialist support to people experiencing mental ill health in both Melrose and Galashiels.
We support people throughout their recovery journey; overcoming challenges, celebrating achievements and empowering people to create a fulfilling life in a person-centred way.
Our Relief Support Practitioner role allows you to have the flexibility to pick and choose shifts around other commitments you may have in your life.
All we ask is that you are able to complete your training requirements and work with us on a regular basis.
Some examples of the shifts are 8.30am to 4.30pm, 9am to 5pm and 1pm to 9pm.
We also have sleepover shifts, weekend working and waking night shifts.
Shift Availability: This relief role will predominantly involve covering one waking night shift per week.
There will also be regular opportunities to pick up additional day shifts, offering flexibility for those looking to increase their hours when available.
As a Relief Support Practitioner, you will support people with all aspects of daily living at home and in their communities.
You will assist people with planning for their future and prevent the effects of social isolation and loneliness in their lives.
Whilst experience is always welcome, full training is provided alongside regular support and supervision from your Service Manager.
The right values and motivation are essential; honesty, respect, empathy and compassion are key skills that are required in people who join our teams.
We welcome applications from any candidates already eligible to work in the UK or those that can apply for a visa granting permission to work in the UK (e.g. dependent visas, ancestry etc.) that do not require sponsorship from Carr Gomm.
