Support When It Counts – Become a Support Practitioner with Carr Gomm in Forth Valley. With a starting salary of £25,224 (pro-rata), join a meaningful role where no two days are the same, providing immediate, person-centred support to people in urgent situations, helping them stay safe and independent at home. If you’re good at seeing people as unique individuals with their own skills, opinions, and dreams then we currently have full-time and part-time (from 22.5 hrs) opportunities for you to join our team in Forth Valley.
About the Role
As a Support Practitioner, your role will involve conducting dynamic risk assessments, screening needs through effective communication and working proactively to prevent hospital admissions. While you may be working independently, you won’t be alone; our close-knit team offer support and ensures continuity of care for the people we support. You will support people with all aspects of daily living at home and in their communities. You will assist people with planning for their future and to prevent the effects of social isolation and loneliness in their lives. We adopt a person-centred approach to working with individuals who require support for a variety of reasons.
Whilst experience is always welcome, full training (including SVQ qualifications) is provided alongside regular support and supervision from your Service Manager. The right values and motivation are essential; honesty, respect, empathy and compassion are key skills that are required in people who join our teams. We are looking for candidates who are flexible to work a variety of shift patterns, which can include Days, Evenings/Weekends.
