At Carr Gomm, we’re offering the chance to join our Home Respite team in Lochaber (Fort William) as a Support Practitioner, providing essential short-term support to people in their homes. About the Role
- Provide 1–5 hour support visits in people’s homes to enable carer respite
- Build meaningful relationships with individuals and their families
- Work flexibly — shifts can fit around your other commitments

Who You Are

- Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred, due to rural coverage
We welcome applications from any candidates already eligible to work in the UK or those that can apply for a visa granting permission to work in the UK (e.g. dependent visas, ancestry etc.) that do not require sponsorship from Carr Gomm. You will be asked to share proof of this prior to receiving any offer of employment. It is currently our policy not to offer sponsorship for prospective candidates.
What We Offer
- Anti-social hours payment of up to £1209 per annum when undertaking waking night shift (11pm-7am)
- Time and a half payment for hours worked over 37.5 hours per week (averaged over the pay period)
- Enhanced mileage payment of 45p per mile
- 35 days’ holiday per year, increasing to 40 days with length of service.
