About Us

Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity, supporting people across Argyll & Bute to live independently, safely, and well in their own homes. We are recruiting Support Practitioners for services in Dunoon.

Care at Home Service

Support people with their daily routines according to their individual support plan, including meal preparation, medication management, personal care, and other practical support to maintain independence and quality of life.

Shift Patterns

Shift patterns vary depending on people’s needs, from 07:00-14:00 and 16:00-22:00. All Support Practitioners support people to live well in their own homes, building trusting relationships and helping them stay connected to their community.

Responsibilities

  • Support people with daily activities, including meals, medication, and personal care.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with people and their families.
  • Work flexibly across different shift patterns, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Compassionate, reliable, and community-minded.
  • Full training provided, with support to achieve an SVQ in Health and Social Care while working.
  • Full driving licence preferred but not essential.

  • Part-time and full‑time contracts available; relief roles offered for greater flexibility.
  • Anti‑social hours enhancement up to £1,272 per annum for night shifts (11pm-7am).
