About Us
Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity, supporting people across Argyll & Bute to live independently, safely, and well in their own homes. We are currently recruiting Relief Support Practitioners for the following services in Helensburgh:
- Responders: Respond to Telecare alarms 24/7, helping people in emergencies such as falls. This fast-paced role involves dynamic risk assessments, quick problem-solving, and using specialist equipment such as ELK cushions.
Shift Patterns: 7am - 3pm and/or 3pm - 11pm, plus 11pm - 7am waking nights.
All Support Practitioners support people to live well in their own homes, building trusting relationships and helping them stay connected to their community. We currently have full time, part time (30 hour) and relief contracts on offer. Our Relief Support Practitioner role allows you to have the flexibility to pick and choose shifts around other commitments you may have in your life. All we ask is that you are able to complete your training requirements and work with us on a regular basis.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for people who are compassionate, reliable, and community-minded. You do not need professional experience to join us. We provide comprehensive induction training, including the use of ELK Lifting Cushion to all new team members. A full driving license is essential for this role, with a company car provided while on shift.

You will also receive:
- £26,886 - £28,353 per annum (pro rata) / £13.75 - £14.50 based on qualifications, skills and experience
- Anti-social hours enhancement of up to £1272, per annum, when undertaking waking night shifts (11pm-7am)
- Mileage payment of 45p per mile
- 35 days holiday per year, increasing to 40 days with length of service.
