Company Description

CarpetWays is a well-established, family-run retail flooring company based in Carlisle. We have seven stores located from Kendal to Falkirk, with our headquarters at the Carlisle Superstore. Additionally, we have a wholesale sister company, FSL Flooring Scotland Ltd, based in Eastriggs. We supply and retail various flooring products including LVT, Laminate, Solid Wood, Engineered Wood, Vinyl, Carpets, Artificial Grass, and Beds from reputable brands like Abingdon, Cormar, Luvanto, Berry-Aloc, Karndean, AGT, and Krono.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Salesperson located in Carlisle. The Salesperson will be responsible for assisting customers, providing product information, and guiding them through the selection and buying process. Key day-to-day tasks include maintaining product knowledge, achieving sales targets, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring an excellent customer service experience. The Salesperson will also take part in store merchandising and promotional activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Sales experience in retail, preferably in flooring or related industries
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of flooring products and brands is a plus
