Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting our new clients, a well regarded Hertfordshire based Flooring Specialist Contractors who serve London and the Home Counties with their Services and work with a mix of Commercial Clients (Hospitals, Schools, Nursing Homes etc) and New Build Housing Contractors in their search for a Commercial Flooring Professional to join their managerial team.
In this instance, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our clients dynamic team at a leading commercial flooring company based in St Albans. In this role, you will oversee the management of flooring contracts from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a crucial role in liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, driving operational efficiency and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end operations of commercial flooring contracts, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and installation teams to ensure seamless execution of flooring projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
- Prepare and present regular reports on project status, financial performance, and operational metrics to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards across all projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in operations management within the construction or flooring industry.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and contract management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in using project management software and estimation tools (Bluebeam ideally) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
