Carpet Roles UK, dedicated Recruiters to the UK Carpet and Flooring Industry, are assisting their clients, a South London based family-run flooring company who specialise in supplying flooring to the construction and end-user clients in their search for a well-organised Project Manager to assist with the planning and scheduling of work and labour for various sites around London and the South East.
Effectively an all-rounder role, you will be involved in the delivery of excellent service to the company’s clients and the organisation of labour predominantly, materials as well as client liaison and general support for the installation teams.
Brief Duties / Requirements:- Managing multiple projects valued between £2k to £80k with 5-6 live jobs weekly
- Between 30 & 40 jobs on your work list at one time
- Material procurement
- Managing fitting teams
- Programming works to meet clients' deadlines
- Delivering installations meeting clients' expectations
- Being reactive to issues as they arise
- Managing costs and preparing final accounts with the sales team
An excellent all-round knowledge of flooring and fitting of various types of flooring is required. A good organiser, capable of arranging work to be completed efficiently and to standards required by the companies in-house and external fitters. CSCS at least and preferably SMSTS site safety qualifications are necessary.
You will be managing works carried out by fitters at an organisational level in the office and when necessary on-site visits. Well organised and presented on a personal level, capable of liaising with clients and suppliers. Computer savvy, capable of using Office etc. Capable of accurately measuring for all types of flooring using manual systems and identifying where errors might be made or have been made and their rectification.
Organising job sheets, ensuring correct numbers of staff and materials are lined up for each job.
We are seeking a flooring professional with fitting experience who is highly organised and has excellent interpersonal skills and comes from a flooring background with SMSTS & CSCS. This role would suit a flooring professional with great organisational and relevant flooring experience as well as commercial fitting experience.
