Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting their Clients, a leading East Mids based Commercial Flooring and Tiling Specialist Contractors with significant growth over the last few years in their search for some additional Key Personnel, in this instance we are seeking an Estimator to help win Business in their Tiling Division.

Our Clients are a well established Commercial Flooring and Tiling Specialist Contractor, based south of Leicester near Hinckley and offer a comprehensive package of Commercial Flooring and Tiling Solutions and serve a broad client base. They have, over the decade or so they have been operating, gone from strength to strength and are now in a rapid period of growth.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Tiling Estimator to join our clients team at their Head Office near Hinckley, Leicestershire. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for tiling projects, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial tiling projects.
  • Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to clarify project requirements and expectations.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and techniques.
  • Prepare and submit tender documents and proposals.
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to management.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with clients and suppliers.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as a tiling estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of tiling materials, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using estimation software (Specifically Callidus and Hubsport) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction, estimating, or a related field are preferred.

Working Environment

  • This position is based in our Hinckley office, with occasional site visits as required.
